Morphological and Histological Investigations on Male Accessory Genital Glands of Morkaraman Sheep

Abstract

In this study, the anatomical features of male attachment genital glands (glandula genitales accessoriae) of Morkaraman sheep were analyzed by macroscopic and histological methods. For this purpose, 10 glandulae (gll.) Genitales accessoriae belonging to 10 male morkaraman sheep weighing 36.1 ± 1.7 kg, aged 1.5-2 years were used. After the cut, additive reproductive glands (ampulla ductus deferentis, glandula vesicularis, prostata and glandula bulbourethralis) were collected. The length and width of the diapers were measured with a digital caliper. For histological examination, 6-7 µm thick sections were taken from tissue samples which were passed through the routine histological stages. The histological sections were stained with Mallory's triple staining technique. The stained preparations were examined under Olympus DP71 brand research microscope. Morphometric examinations revealed that the ampulla ductus deferentis consisted of a shaped enlargement in the last part, and that the glandula (gl.) Vesicularis was located in the caudal of collum vesica urinaria and located in the dorso-lateral part of the pelvic urethra. It was found that the prostate gland consisted only of pars disseminata and was spread in the wall of the pelvic urethra. Glandula bulbourethralis was found as a pair of oval structures located on the last part of the pelvic urethra. Histologic examinations revealed that the gl. vesicularis was composed of tubulo-alveolar glands showing numerous branches. Ampulla ductus deferentis tunica (t). mucosa was a pseudo-multilayer prismatic epithelium. Prostate; urethra was found within the propria of the tubuloalveolar gland consisting of a single-layer prismatic epithelium. Glandula bulbourethralis has t. mucosa, t. muscularis and t. adventitia layers. A single flowing channel of the diaper was detected. Tunica serosa penetrated the inner regions and divided the organ into lobes and lobules. In addition to abundant elastic yarns, many serous glands were detected in the lamina propria. As a result; although the histological and anatomical features of the male attachment genital glands in morkaraman sheep show some structural differences, that they are generally similar to those reported in other species.

Morkaraman Koyunlarında Erkek Eklenti Genital Bezleri Üzerinde Morfolojik ve Histolojik Araştırmalar

Abstract

Morkaraman
koyunu Türkiye’nin yerli koyun ırklarındandır. Bu çalışmada, Morkaraman
koyunların erkek eklenti genital bezlerinin (glandulae genitales accessoriae)
anatomik özellikleri makroskopik ve histolojik yöntemlerle analiz edildi. Çalışmada
36.1 ± 1.7 kg ağırlığında, 1.5-2 yaşlarında, 10 adet erkek morkaraman
koyunlarına ait glandulae genitales accessoriae kullanıldı. Kesim sonrası
eklenti üreme bezleri (ampulla ductus deferentis, glandula vesicularis,
prostata ve glandula bulbourethralis) toplandı. Bezlerin uzunluk ve
genişlikleri dijital caliper ile ölçüldü. Histolojik incelemeler için rutin
histolojik aşamalardan geçirilen doku örneklerinden 6-7 µm kalınlığında
kesitler alındı. Alınan histolojik kesitler Mallory’nin üçlü boyama tekniği ile
boyandı. Boyanan preparatlar Olympus DP71 marka araştırma mikroskobunda
incelendi. Yapılan morfometrik incelemelerde ampulla ductus deferentis’in,
ductus deferens’in son bölümünün yapmış olduğu bir genişlemeden ibaret olduğu,
glandula (gl.) vesicularis’in, collum vesica urinaria'nın caudal’inde, pelvik
urethra'nın başlangıç bölümünün dorso-lateralinde yerleştiği gözlendi. Prostata
bezinin sadece pars disseminata’dan oluştuğu, pelvik urethra’nın duvarı
içerisinde yayılmış olarak bulunduğu tespit edildi. Glandula bulbourethralis’in
ise pelvik urethra'nın son kısmı üzerinde yerleşen bir çift oval yapı olarak
bulunduğu belirlendi.   Histolojik
incelemelerde gl. vesicularis’in çok sayıda dallanma gösteren tubulo-alveolar
karakterde bezlerden oluştuğu gözlendi. Ampulla ductus deferentis’in tunica
(t). mucosa’sı yalancı çok katlı prizmatik epitel yapısındaydı. Prostata’ın
urethra’nın propriyası içinde bulunduğu, tek katlı prizmatik epitelden oluşan
tubuloalveolar bez yapısında bulunduğu gözlendi. Glandula bulbourethralis’in
ise t. mucosa, t. muscularis ve t. adventitia katmanlarından oluştuğu
belirlendi. Beze ait tek bir akıtıcı kanal tespit edildi. Tunica serosa iç
bölgelere girerek organı lop ve lopçuklara ayırıyordu. Lamina propriyada bol
miktarda elastik iplik yanında çok sayıda seröz karakterde bez tespit edildi. Sonuç
olarak; morkaraman koyunlarda erkek eklenti genital bezlerin histolojik ve
anatomik özellikleri bazı yapısal farklılıklar gösterse de genel olarak diğer
türlerde bildirilen özelliklerle benzerlik gösterdiği sonucuna varıldı.
