Açık Alan Etkinlikleri Katılımcılarının Etkinlik Öznitelik Düşüncelerinin Seyahat Davranışına Olan Etkisi

Year 2023, Volume: 7 Issue: 3, 223 - 233, 30.12.2023

Abstract

The Effect of Event Feature Thoughts on Travel Behavior of Outdoor Activities Participants

Year 2023, Volume: 7 Issue: 3, 223 - 233, 30.12.2023
https://doi.org/10.55238/seder.1355046

Abstract

Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of event feature thoughts on travel behavior of outdoor activities participants in the activities they participated.
Method: A total of 333 individuals, 69.1% male and 30.9% female, participating in outdoor recreations such as cycling, running, walking, camping, mountaineering, and fishing, participated in the study. In the study, Activity Attributes Scale and Travel Behavior Scale were used as data collection tools. Preliminary assumptions for multiple regression analysis were checked in order to determine the effect levels for the hypotheses created after removing incomplete and erroneous data in the data analysis. Since the presuppositions were met, correlation and regression analysis were used in the analysis processes.
Results: Looking at the results obtained from the regression analysis, it is seen that the sub-dimensions of the scale of activity attributes, "attractiveness and exposure" and "reputation" have a positive effect on individual travel opportunities and holiday selection opportunities. The climatic conditions in which the activities are held emerge as a situation that does not affect the travel behavior of people.
Conclusion: We can state that individuals who participate in outdoor recreation activities have high expectations of participating in such activities in the company of friends and social groups, of struggling with nature through their activities, and of being respected in their social groups and circle of friends during this struggle.
