Yıl 2022, Cilt: 6 Sayı: 3, 165 - 171, 29.12.2022

Öz

The aim of this research is to compare the body composition, jumping, speed and agility performance parameters of young football players in different age groups. A total of 48 young football players from different age groups (U14, U15, U16 and U17) participated in the research voluntarily. Countermovement jump CMJ), squat jump (SJ), 10m, 20m sprint and zig-zag agility tests with and without the ball were applied to the athletes. SPSS 22 statistical program was used in the analysis of the data. According to the findings of the research, young football players in the U17 age group; it was determined that they had higher jumping, speed and agility performances compared to young football players in the U16, U15 and U14 age groups (p<0,05). As a result, it was observed that the performance parameters of the football players increased gradually with the training loads performed gradually, as well as the age and training experience. In this direction, studies to be conducted on whether there is a relationship between these performance differences in age groups and technical skills in future studies will make a significant contribution to football development.
