Dr. Fikret Er received his BSc in Statistics from Anadolu University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He completed his PhD in statistics, at the University o Leeds England, between 1995-1999 under the supervision of Prof. John T. Kent and Patrick D.L.Constable. Er worked as a research assistant and assistant professor at Anadolu University, Faculty of Science, Department of Statistics between 1993 and 2013. He started to work as an Associate Professor at the Open Education Faculty in 2013. Er was appointed as a Professor to the Open Education Faculty, Non-formal Education Department in November 2018. He teaches Statistics, Data mining, R programming and graphical data analysis,
